Welcome to the newly enhanced Contacts Page, the latest upgrade to SiteZeus’s Build, Sell and Collect products. This update brings more customization, search power, and convenience, thanks in large part to your feedback! Originally, the Contacts Page was accessible through redirection, but your input helped us refine and expand its features to make your workflow smoother and more efficient.
Key Enhancements on the Contacts Page
1. Powerful and Flexible Search Bar
🔎Search Options: You can now search contacts by first name, last name, or email address—with upcoming functionality to include company name and title for even more targeted searches.
🗃️Adjustable Results: To the right of the search bar, a drop-down allows you to choose the number of search results displayed, letting you easily adjust for broader or more specific views.
2. Customizable Contacts Grid
⚙️Grid Configuration: Click the gear icon on the left of the search bar to open the configuration settings. Here, you’ll see your selected columns by default (name, title, email, phone).
🛠️Edit & Rearrange Columns: To modify the grid, double-click any data point to remove it or drag to rearrange columns. You can also select from other system data lists or add Company custom fields through the 'search custom data' box, which includes type-ahead search for easy access.
✔️Save & Apply Options: Click ‘Save’ to make your column selections ‘sticky’ across sessions, or ‘Apply’ to use them for your current session only. To reset the grid entirely, use the refresh icon in the top left corner of the configuration window.
3. Adding New Contacts
➕New Contact Window: Click the ‘+’ icon to the left of the search bar to open a new contact form, which will appear at the bottom of your screen. You can have up to three of these pop-up windows open simultaneously for efficient data entry.
4. Viewing and Managing Contact Details
📃Details Slide-Out: Click a contact row to reveal details in a slide-out panel on the right, which can be detached into a pop-up window by clicking the box-with-arrow icon.
📝Edit and Delete: Use the pencil icon to edit standard details and the trash can icon to delete contacts (with confirmation).
🧩Custom Data: For custom data, select the Custom Data tab. This tab also has a search bar to filter sections, fields, or groups. Click the pencil icon to edit all fields, or search and update specific sections as needed. Custom fields that are required will turn red if not completed before saving.
5. New Pin Feature
📌Pin Important Contacts: Pin any contact by clicking the pin icon at the top of their card, ensuring they stay at the top of the page for quick access.
6. Company Details Integration
🏢Quick Company Info: If ‘Company’ is selected as a grid column, hover over the company name for an expanded view (with permission). To pop out this view, hold the ‘Shift’ key, which lets you access Company Basic Details, Custom Data, and Memos in a separate window. You can keep up to three Company pop-ups open at once and refresh them with the icon in the top left corner.
